A MECHANIC FINDS THAT IT TAKES HIM 2 HOURS TO DIAGNOSE A PROBLEM. ?

What is his every day capability (assume an 8 hour day)?
Mr. Ratchet believes he can squeeze a tiny mechanism trouble-shooting device, that will concede him to find as well as repair a complaint in a implausible (at slightest to his customers!) time of 1 hour. He will, however, have to outlay an additional hour any sunrise adjusting a computerized evidence device. What will be a stroke upon his capability if he purchases a device?
Hint: You might work out a stream productivity, afterwards find out a capability with computers. Finally we will know how most it improves.

Right now, in an eight-hour day, Mr. Ratchet diagnoses (and I assume fixes, otherwise his customers are really getting screwed) 4 computers a day (8 hours divided by 2 hours per computer). If Mr. Ratchet buys the auto-diagnostics machine, Mr. Ratchet will be able to diagnose and fix 7 computers a day – since it takes an hour each morning to adjust the machine, Mr. Ratchet has only 7 hours to spend diagnosing and fixing machines, and since he can now do one per hour, that is the 7 machines.

Mr. Ratchet’s productivity has increased to 7 machines from 4 or 7/4, for a 75% increase in productivity,
