the autobody bussiness requires more of an artistic ability where a mechanic does more of diagnosis and remove and replace.if your good at both and want to do both your better off going to a autobody shop because there is mechanical repairs needed and performed during a collision repair.while mechanic shops dont usually need to or want to get into the autobody end of a repair.
