You’ll never get rich, but the more experienced and knowledgeable you become, the more valuable you will be to your employer and the more money you will make.
I highly recommend that (at a minimum) you take some basic electronic courses – the highest paid technicians in my area are the ones that diagnose and repair electrical and electronic concerns in today’s modern vehicles.
Depends, of course.
Lets say you go through the course. You do brilliantly. Get teh degree, everything is great.
Then you go out in the job market which sucks right now. And can’t get a job.
Is it a waste? No. You got the degree, and knowledge. Not your fault that the job market sucks.
Or, you may get lucky, and get picked up by a racing team, and make quite a bit of money.
Or eventually turn into a mechanical engineer and design cars, and make a LOT of money.
There is ZERO way to tell how successful you will be at anything, until you’re already doing it.
