with burkas you wont need overalls to creep under cars
Excellent idea.
If you had to choose between being a shahida and a mechanic, choose the latter.
.
that depends upon the atmosphere and circumstances of urs work place. if everybody including customers are female than there will be no problem
I think it’s wonderful that you are acting on your passion for auto-mechanics! It is not Islam that prohibits you at all from this, rather the society which considers it a male-oriented job. It is great to see Muslim women in that field and breaking stereotypes! Go for it!!!
Muslim women have all the rights to work and act giving due importance to her dignity and Chastity.
If you are confident you can fulfill your due responsibilities of your own protection and having a descent life, go for it.
Other hand you may have more better and interesting choices to chose your futur carrier.
May Allah guide you for your best decision, Amen.
Well, you went and opted for a set beliefs that wants all the women to be uneducated, illiterate baby making machines whose only duty is to slave in the house and seek no other pleasure than serving her Master.
Ask the Taliban for the correct interpretation of the Qu’ran.
And see what they do to their women.
I wonder if the Muslim husband is worth it, now.
lol
thats awesome!!!
Islamically its fine…but it depends on the surroundings.
most auto-mechanic shops are filled with men only. Society would look down on you if you were to work there, and you probably wouldn’t feel so comfortable.
but if you can find a place where its majority female – or if you could open your own shop…that would be super!!
Good Luck! =]
Have fun. I think it’s cool. I want to take a class to educate myself about cars. Just an idea.
well if Allaah wills then it will be successful but I suggest u put ur career into being in company with female madrasa and maybe ull help many convert or u can learn basics of Islam and become Alima
dont agree
it’s not a lady type of work!
but it’s good to master something
nothing wrong – but from wht i know is tht womens are not allowed to work with mens especially if the women is not married…
Personally I don’t think it is a job for the ladies as you will have to bend and put yourself in some uncompromising positions when tending to a car and most who take cars to garages are men and most of your work colleagues would be men unless you were fortunate enough to own your own garage.
Women and men may be physically, mentally and emotionally geared towards different jobs and that is not a bad thing. Though of course there are some jobs that fit both…but I don’t think auto mechanics is one of them. It might be sterotyping but anyway…….
How many men work in child care centres as nursery nurses? Very few if none and mothers in the main may not feel so comfortable about having male nursery nurses. How many women on building sites as labourers? Do they have the strength/build [muscle-wise] for it generally speaking? Our hormones, body strength, emotions, etc, do have an input. Women and men are different and that is a good thing.
Also I think if you were tending your own car in the street for instance you would attract a lot of stares from men just for being a woman doing that. Islamically we should avoid what attracts stares of men.
Just my personal opinion.
Salaam ‘alaikum.
i think it would be awesome personally but i dont think its a good idea because most likely you will be working amongst guys and you woulod be without your mahram
