Paid the bit over $200.00 … this enclosed using diagnostic, work as good as part. Well .. 2 weeks after … the automobile proposed to rumble .. when upon resting it would literally shake. So we took it behind .. they ran the little some-more tests .. as good as good … it seems which the final automechanic left the screw motorist underneath the metal cover .. as good as it was board underneath the send box as good as cranky member. we was told there was no damange to those parts. we was not charged .. though left there feeling cheated. It will be the final time we go to which dealership. Need to know if this is something which can repairs the inner components of my car? we will definetly write the association as good as the automobile association the minute censure letter. I’m certain alternative people have identical experiences, how did we understanding with it?

sue him,if you have dealer proof

Realistically, there’s not much chance of permanent damage unless the screwdriver somehow dug into something. It’s possible the vibration itself did something, but also not likely. If you’re concerned, take it to a trusted third-party mechanic and have them check it out. They should be able to tell you one way or another.

Beyond that, there’s not much else you can do. If there was indeed damage, then you can definitely go after the dealership for the cost of repairs. If not, then it’d be difficult to do much. You won’t get much if anything out of a lawsuit if you weren’t damaged, since both compensation and punitive judgments depend on that. It might be fair to ask for some portion of the original repair charge back, but again if it wasn’t damaged and they did the repairs as requested otherwise, it’d be hard to get much out of them.

I think you are being Excessively Critical of the technician in question.

He likely did the work and left his screwdriver under the hood and it fell down where he could not see it.

You were not charged and there will not be any damage to your vehicle.

Fact is he made a mistake by leaving a screwdrive in your car but he had to go buy a new one to replace it. OUT OF HIS OWN POCKET as the dealership does not supply tools.

    Okay you were inconvienenced… fine.

    Did he damage anything? NO

Did you recieve the work you paid for? YES

Should you get a freebie? NO

Should you get an apology? SURE mistakes happen.

Having been a mechanic and had people come back with a wind noise in the rear window after replacing an engine and now they want the whole $10,000 job for free, I put your complaint in the same book.

I think people with your mentality are overboard and excessive. I think you need to work in a workshop and hear the screaming complaints and demands of the customers and the management and BY GOD YOU WILL PERFORM OR ELSE!!! All that for $18-$20 an hour 48 hours a week. AND YOU CAN SUPPLY $50,000 of your own tools just for the privaledge of doing it.

    In short GROW UP

Don’t ever take your car in for servicing or repairs again. It’s only a magic carpet with 1000 wearable moving parts, minimal lubrication, and 60,000 miles of wiring attached to 100 sensors.

Hell even brain surgeons cannot figure out what us stupid mechanics are doing under that hood.

Don’t ever service it again because that way you won’t have anything to complain about.
